Meet Stephen Crosson
When we pulled up to his first childhood home, I remember asking if things looked the same or different. He stated that things looked the same, but as we walked the block, he noticed how although some things looked the same, a lot has changed as well. We discussed how things seemed so much bigger in our eyes as children versus looking back on things now as an adult. The street that he once walked down going to visit friends as a child seemed like walking a mile actually took us less than 5 minutes in grown up time.
He discussed having a strong sense of family togetherness and strong community bonds living in this house. Whether it was memories of lying on the floor with his dad putting together hot wheel tracks, or having summer Bible school lessons and fun activities at a neighbor’s house.
Hearing about the things that took place at Stephen’s home and neighborhood helped me understand him a lil bit more. I know that he is a community guy, loves to bring people together and have a good time, talks to family in some form or fashion at least once a day, is a humble guy but definitely not a slouch.
